The Julita Foundation was
founded on December 6 1951 in the territory of Jardim São Luís southern zone
of São Paulo with the initial objective of housing migrant families from
rural areas offering a place to live plant and sell their food products.

From the 1990s onwards the
Julita Foundation began to focus on serving socially vulnerable children and
adolescents considering them as unifying elements of the community
fundamental for the development of work with families.
Currently the Julita
Foundations mission is to serve children young people and families in
situations of social vulnerability through socio-educational actions that
promote the exercise of citizenship. To this end it offers four service
programs which aim at the integral development of users in their physical
cognitive emotional social and cultural aspects. In addition to four
Education Centers in the following areas Health Environmental Culture and
Sport.
 
The project provides
professional qualification/training for 30 teenagers aged 15 to 18 in
Monitoring for Environmental Education. By preparing them we also help them
plan and structure their life projects whether entering the job market or
graduating in areas of biological sciences biology natural sciences agronomy
forestry engineering environmental engineering and environmental management.
The activities will take place every day of the week with a workload of 20
hours per week of content and monitoring.
 
The project promotes the
technical training and practical experience of adolescents accompanied by
environmental educators who will mediate between technical knowledge divided
into technical knowledge of environmental education and common knowledge that
contribute to expanding the adolescents repertoire as well as preparing for
university entrance exams and practical work with children and adolescents.
 
The Inspirar Project aims
to promote knowledge values and skills for environmental preservation
involving the community of Jardim São Luís and neighboring neighborhoods on
the outskirts of the southern zone of São Paulo.
