Instituto Semear is an NGO that works at the base of
the social pyramid aiming to reduce the dropout of talented young people from
universities and make them protagonists of their own history. By helping to
keep these young people at university the Institute hopes that they can return
the investment made in them to society creating a virtuous cycle in search of
a more just society.
Currently support is based on the three pillars of
the Institute financial support through a Scholarship guidance to Seed Young
People through a Mentoring Program and access to the Institutes Contact
Network that brings together young people in the same situation and successful
professionals in several areas.
In 8 years of operation Instituto Semear has already
served more than 340 Young Seeds in 9 states in Brazil and managed in 2018 to
achieve a 0% dropout rate for Young Seeds in universities with the support of
the network that makes up more than 230 mentors.

Who participates: Young people of Class C2 D and recently admitted to the best public universities in Brazil.
Reason to be proud: The evasion rate of Young Seeds in 2018 was 0%.
