Leandro Izar visits the Anchieta Grajaú Institute

The NGO partners of the Société Générale Institute this year are already receiving visits from their sponsors! On Thursday, December 12, Leandro Izar, Director of Operations for Consumer Finance at Banco Société Générale, visited the Anchieta Grajaú Institute and closely followed the progress of the project sponsored by Conte Bem, which teaches adolescents between 14 and 18 years to look after their personal finances in order to transform the local reality.

So far, the project has had around 8 classes with 60 students enrolled and has volunteer teachers responsible for the project's idealization. However, in addition to Conte Bem, Leandro was interested in the NGO's reception: "they do not have doors, they do not have walls and they receive everybody".
"These initiatives reinforce the seriousness of the work done by the Société Générale Institute in the choice of projects. When we look at an Institution with the ISG stamp, we know that the work is serious and this contributes to an easier decision on our side," says Leandro . For him, strengthening NGOs to become self-sustaining in the future is very important.

The Anchieta Grajaú Institute was founded in 1994. Since then, it has taken care of 600 children and youngsters, offering recreation, vocational courses, and cultural activities. During his visit, Izar also discovered that the NGO offers around a thousand meals a day to all young people
